It is easy to walk down the same path over and over again. It takes great courage to decide to take a step off that path and journey down an unknown road. Making a change in one’s life can be a difficult and scary process but the rewards are immeasurable. Psychotherapy can give you the chance to reexamine yourself as well as your relationships and can eventually provide you the tools to make better decisions so you can live a happier and more authentic life. Our lives are truly so short and there is nothing more important than learning to ultimately be your true self.
My Methodology
My methodology involves the exploration of the repetitive thoughts and beliefs that you use in your interpersonal relationships and in your decision making which have kept you from making the changes in your life that you desire. Together we will examine these beliefs, look at their origin and begin to reshape how you see yourself and the world around you. The ultimate goal in therapy is to develop new skills and behaviors that will bring you a more satisfying life.
Specialty Areas
I have had the opportunity to work with individuals, adolescents, couples and families from a wide range of ethnicities and backgrounds on a number of issues, including life transitions, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and PTSD. I specialize in addiction and recovery with a concentration in drug & alcohol and food addictions.
