I’m here to help.

Hello,

I'm Tess Brigham, a therapist and coach and my mission is to empower young adults to live their best 20-something lives.

First things first, thank you for visiting my website. If you feel overwhelmed by your life, lost or unsure of which direction you should be headed, you're in the right place. I’m glad you’re here because I’ve been in your shoes.

WHO am i?

While my 20s were a fun and exciting, I spent a lot of time feeling unsure of myself, lonely and confused about what I should or should not be doing.

I just wished someone (other than my mother) would show up and give me some guidance on what to do or, at least, reassure me everything would be all right.

This is why I work with 20-somethings-because my own journey was neither linear nor pretty.

At age 22 I thought I knew who I was and what I wanted. By age 27 I was lost, confused, broke, single, unemployed and living with my mother.

A lot happened in between those years and I continue to learn a lot about myself. Yet, it was the twenty-something years that felt so important and significant. Those were the years that guidance, support, direction and reassurance were what I needed most.

This is why I do what I do. I want to make this exciting but overwhelming time in your life easier. I want you to be able to go into your 30s, 40s and beyond with a strong sense of who you are and what’s most important to you.

In many ways my life now is now busier and crazier than it was at 22! It’s just that I feel more confident and I know who I am and what I want. When I was in my 20s I worried I wouldn’t find a career I was good at and enjoyed or a loving relationship with someone that made me laugh.

Today, I’m happy to say that I'm happily married to my funny, smart and creative husband, Steve. Together we have a son named Max and a pug Rocco (that's him in the picture doing what he does best - sleeping). I have a thriving therapy and coaching practice. I actually like Mondays because I love what I do and enjoy being my own boss.

OK, enough about me…let’s talk about you.

WHO I WORK WITH

Millennials and Twenty-Somethings

I specialize in working with twenty-somethings who need inspiration, support and guidance managing this exciting but overwhelming time of transition into "adulthood." I’ve spent the last several years focusing on, researching and understanding the unique issues that arise in the twenty-something years.

The twenty-something years can be an overwhelming time, but you don't have to navigate them alone.  My goal is to help you figure out who you are, make decisions that you feel good about and develop a strong sense of self.

And the Parents That Love Them

As a therapist and coach for Millennials, I know the unique struggles of this generation. But I often wondered-what about the parents? There are parenting books on hundreds of subjects: how to get your baby to sleep through the night, how to stop your toddler's tantrums, how to talk to your teen about sex and drugs, and the list goes on. What about when those babies turn into adults and are still living under your roof? This is why I wrote a book just for the parents of adult children. Check it out here...

I also offer one-on-one coaching for parents and their adult children who need support and guidance during this transitional time.
